The Volunteer is familiar with the layout of the hospital and is knowledgeable about visiting hours. The Volunteer acts as a hostess to visitors\, prepares coffee and ensures there are cups and tea bags available for visitors. The Volunteer ensures that the waiting area is neat and clean and that the waiting area is safe. The Volunteer restocks cups\, napkins\, etc. as needed.
