DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Anchor Health\n\nAnchor Health is currently seeking Music Hospice Volunteers who live in Napa\, Marin\, and Sonoma Counties (San Rafael\, Novato\, Petaluma\, Santa Rosa\, Napa\, City of Sonoma\, and more).Music helps to promote stimulation\, relaxation\, and decreased anxiety. It can also decrease pain and discomfort\, facilitate communication\, and encourage social interaction. If you play an instrument\, we'd be honored to have you as a hospice volunteer. You do not need to have a music therapy license to participate. Simply bring along your instrument and/or your singing voice to your visits and become a beautiful addition to a hospice patient's day.Volunteering for Anchor Health will give you an opportunity to truly make a difference in another person's life. Your smile\, your listening\, your attention\, your music\, and your compassionate presence will bring the important gift of connection and affirmation to someone who is in their final phase of life.Volunteers are given assignments that work for them. You tell us how often you'd like to volunteer\, and we'll find an assignment that's a good match for you. All of us at Anchor Health value you\, your time\, and your very generous heart. We are grateful for any amount of time you wish to volunteer\, whether that be on-call or occasionally\, once a month\, once a week\, or 8 hours a day.
