DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano\n\nFamily Food Sorts Days are only open to families with children between the ages of 5-10 who are otherwise unable to volunteer at our other shifts due to safety concerns. Everyone in your application must be from the same household and must be able to work in close proximity to one another in order to be approved.\nImportant information to read before you sign up:\nAll volunteers must be scheduled. Each family must sign up individually.\nWhen you Express Interest in participating in a Family Food Sort Day\, you will be required to tell us how many children\, their ages and how many adults are in your family.\nAfter submitting your Express Interest request\, please wait for an official email confirmation from us. You will be notified if there is space for your family\, or if the shift is full & you have been placed on the Waiting List.\nPlease observe the following guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your group.\nArrive on time and plan to stay for your entire shift.\nVolunteers must sign-in for their shifts on the tablet and on the paper on the clipboard. If the tablet is not working\, you will need to ask staff for an additional paper attendance sheet to record your hours.\nMasks are optional for all volunteer shifts.\nAll volunteers must wear a nametag and closed-toed shoes.\nThe warehouse temperature can vary so volunteers should dress accordingly. We recommend dressing in layers.\nEnsure the children in your care do not run\, jump\, or climb on equipment during the shift\nCancellations: If you need to cancel\, please log in to your volunteer account and remove yourself from the registration.\nPlease Note: If “Express Interest” does not appear below\, all opportunities are full.
