DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Learning Home Volunteers\n\nLearning Home Volunteers is a growing non-profit working in the education equity space. We work for and with low-income parents working with their children\, 18 months to 5 years old\, to ensure their child enters school with all the foundational skills needed to be successful in school.We are looking for a volunteer treasurer to serve on our board. The treasurer will offer guidance and support to the Executive Director to ensure sound fiscal planning\, decision-making and oversight. Duties to include:Oversee financial policies and their review by the board.Assist in the preparation\, presentation\, and monitoring of the annual budget.Report financial position\, performance\, and critical financial events and report these to the board.Ensure that the organization maintains appropriate financial books and records\, tax filings\, and compliance filings.Oversee the financial viability of the organization.Serve as a co-signer of checks.Estimated time commitment: average of 4-5 hours per month (board meetings\, meeting with Executive Director\, and reconciliation of books and review of 990 filings).
