DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Hope Horizon East Palo Alto\n\nOur academic tutors guide and teach the youth of East Palo Alto to ensure opportunities for hope and a future. During the school year\, Hope Horizon East Palo Alto offers homework assistance and additional support in reading\, writing\, math\, and other academic skills.Tutors play an essential role in a student’s academic growth. They work 1:1 with K-12 students to complete homework and bring them to grade level in reading and math. No prior experience is needed.Tutor weekly\, or twice a month\, in person at Hope Horizon East Palo Alto. Hours vary depending on the grade level\, but typical program days are Monday-Thursday\, 4-6 pm. All volunteers are required to pass a background check.
