DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Prince of Peace/West Valley Food Pantry\n\nCome be a part of our amazing food delivery program for homebound seniors! We need strong\, energetic people who have a desire to make a difference in their community.Four days a month\, we delivery groceries to about 500 seniors\, in about 10 different residence/homes/parks. We are in need of Thursday morning volunteers.It involves loading about 25 lbs of groceries per person into our refrigerated van\, then following the van in your personal vehicle to 2 or 3 local sites per visit day (within 6 miles of the Pantry). We then unload the boxes of groceries onto handcarts\, and deliver them to the residents.This is a very physical job\, so we require that you have no lifting\, carrying\, or moving limitations. We work in all kinds of weather\, from pouring rain\, to excessive heat.
