DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Volunteers of America Oregon\n\nResiliency research shows it only takes a bond with one adult outside their family for children to feel the positive effects for a lifetime. Enhance the well-being and development of young children by being a positive\, stable\, consistent adult in their lives.\nCreate positive role models for at risk children and families\; maintain safety and a positive learning environment. Help progress a child’s development through play and interaction. Bring joy into a child’s day and your own while learning age-appropriate positive discipline techniques\, early childhood development theory\, and Montessori Method for small groups of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Help with meal clean-up\, laundry\, folding clothing\, donations\, etc.\nEssential Qualifications:\n- Ability to model interactions of teachers.\n- Some lifting with children under 2 ½ years.\n- Must love children and be able to interact positively.\n- Choose from shifts Monday - Friday 9:00am-12:00pm.
