DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Portland Providence ElderPlace\n\nProvidence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible. As volunteers we are helping support and enrich the lives of our participants.Friendly Visitors: The ElderPlace Friendly Visitors provide one-on-one support with our participants in our social centers. Many of our clients benefit greatly from one-on-one interactions and building relationships with volunteers. The friendly visitor is very beneficial to our participants who do not have a strong natural support system. Support can include playing a variety of games with a group of participants\, gardening\, reminiscing\, or engaging in light conversation one on one with a participant.
