DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Ride Connection\n\nAre you an enthusiastic and outgoing person who enjoys working with youth in grades K - 2nd?\nYouth Preparedness Pedro Team Members support the Prepare with Pedro program. They provide emergency preparedness education to youth in grades K - 2nd in school classrooms by following Pedro the Penguin as he learns how to reduce the risk of disaster\, prepare to respond effectively\, and cope with disasters when they happen. Presentations runtime: about 30-45 minutes.\nTeam member roles include: Presenter\, Presenter Assistant\, Administrative Support\, and Presenter Trainer. You are able to choose your preferred role(s)!\nPresenter responsibilities: conduct Prepare with Pedro presentations to youth grades K - 2nd.\nPresenter Assistant responsibilities: support the Prepare with Pedro Presenter by handing out and collecting materials from students\, helping with classroom management\, and grading quizzes.\nAdministrative Support responsibilities: carry out administrative duties\, such as data management\, inventory management\, reporting collection/entry\, collecting/readying presentation supplies\, and responding to email inquiries about the program.\nPresenter Trainer responsibilities: train individuals to present the Prepare with Pedro program curriculum proficiently.\nYou'll need to meet these important qualifications:\nPublic speaking or teaching skills\nWeekday\, daytime availability during school hours\nComfortable in classroom settings talking to and working with youth in grades Kindergarten through 2nd\nAbility to arrange transportation to Red Cross offices to pick up materials\, travel to event location\, and return materials at the end of presentations\nWillingness to train and teach other volunteers\nPatient\, enthusiastic\, and compassionate\nOpportunity Requirements:\nBackground check\nVolunteers\n\nDetails: https://findyourtwo.org/opp/?id=25406
