DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Forgiven Kingdom\n\nTeach English to adult English learners - helping them to build their confidence in speaking\, reading and writing.\nWhy: The San Gabriel Valley Literacy Council offers free ESL classes to a diverse population of adult English learners helping them to build confidence in their English skills allowing them to open new opportunities at work\, home and their communities. We serve a wide range of learners from basic English learners to adults looking for advanced conversation practice. Our classes are offered both online and in person in the San Gabriel Valley area.\nWho: The mission of the San Gabriel Valley Literacy Council is to provide English language and citizenship instruction that meets the evolving needs of adult learners in the west San Gabriel Valley. Our special focus is on the beginning learner and those who need more flexible scheduling to accommodate the demands of real life.\nWhat to Expect: As a volunteer teacher\, you will be teaching:\nAt least once a week for 90 minutes\nFrom September to January and/or February to May\nChoose either online or in person\nMorning or evening classes available\nWhat's Required:\nBe at least 18 years old\nNo need to know another language other than English\nComplete training sessions\, both online and in person\nNo teaching experience necessary\, we will train\nHave Questions or Need Accommodation?
