DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Life Elder Care\n\nGive the gift of time by becoming a companionship volunteer! Become a comforting presence to a patient on hospice and make a difference with a simple chat\, a smile and a hand to hold. Family members cannot always be there so our volunteers fill a need for companionship. Our volunteers are an important and needed part of our care team.\nVisits usually are about 1/2 hour and consist of just talking about life experiences\, hobbies\, travel anything really. sometimes patients like to be read to or listen to music. Sometimes its a warm hand to hold. We have opportunities available in the Green Bay and Fox Valley area. The visits are set up by the volunteer with the coordinator to insure a good fit into your life and routines. Plenty of flexibility. We have opportunities for veteran to veteran visits and pet companion visits that can be discussed with the coordinator.
