DESCRIPTION:Hosted by ADVOCAP\n\nADVOCAP's Senior Friends Program needs your help!We match a caring volunteer with an individual age 65+ and/or with disabilities who is lonely and looking to increase interactions with people. The volunteer will meet or call on a regular basis enabling the participant to remain independent as long as possible\, and to lessen the effects of isolation. Most of the participants in this program are home bound living independently or in assisted living. The volunteer acts as a "friendly neighbor" who checks in with the participant and spends some quality time with them. Training is provided.
