DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Compassus\n\nDo you have a caring heart and desire to bring comfort to others? We are seeking compassionate individuals to serve as Hospice Companion Volunteers.\nAs a volunteer\, you will visit patients facing life-limiting illnesses to provide emotional support and companionship. Your presence can make a world of difference---offering comfort\, reducing loneliness\, and creating moments of joy.\nVolunteer activities may include:\n- Engaging in conversation and active listening\n- Reading aloud\, playing music\, or sharing hobbies\n- Sitting quietly as a comforting presence\n- Offering respite to family caregivers\nTime Commitment: Flexible scheduling-visits are typically 1-2 hours per week\, based on your availability.\nTraining & Support: All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training and ongoing support from our care team.
