DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Amani Community Services\n\nPosition Summary:\nThe Elder Support Group Facilitator is a volunteer role that supports the development and facilitation of peer-led support groups for older adults in senior living communities and apartment settings. This role helps build meaningful connection\, reduce isolation\, and actively contributes to shaping the structure\, topics\, and activities of the support program.\nKey Responsibilities:\nHelp develop and shape elder support group topics\, activities\, and structure.\nLead or co-lead support group sessions for older adults.\nProvide input on what topics are most meaningful and needed in the community.\nCreate a welcoming\, respectful\, and inclusive group environment.\nEncourage conversation\, peer connection\, and shared support.\nAssist with simple planning and organization of group sessions.\nHelp evaluate what is working well and suggest improvements.\nCommunicate community needs and feedback to the Elder Support.\nAdvocate or staff.\nMaintain confidentiality and respect participant privacy.\nSkills & Qualities:\nCompassionate\, patient\, and community-minded.\nStrong listening and communication skills.\nComfortable engaging with older adults.\nWilling to share ideas and help shape a growing program.\nDependable and respectful of others’ experiences.\nNo formal experience required - training and support provided.\n\nDetails: https://findyourtwo.org/opp/?id=27388
