DESCRIPTION:Hosted by HKFoodWorks\n\nDescription: Hong Kong Society for the Deaf strives towards improving education for hearing-impaired children and supporting their families.\nVolunteer roles:\nVolunteers work directly with a group of three to four students to guide them through homework and to enhance their learning motivations. This allows students to consolidate their learning and further their studies.\nBackground of the students:\n1. Age: 5-12 (Primary 1-6 & Secondary 1)\n2. Special needs:\nAll of them have moderate to severe level of hearing-impairment. Some children have different SEN conditions\, e.g. hyperactivity disorder\, autism\nVolunteer Requirements:\nCantonese speakers aged 16/+ who can read/write traditional Chinese and English.\nBe patient when communicating with children.\nAll volunteers must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong.
