DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Homecare & Hospice of WNY\n\nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN YOUR AREAThere is an old saying that “If you need help\, ask busy people – they can somehow find the time.” If you are someone who can find a bit of extra time for a worthy organization\, please consider being a Hospice Volunteer in your area. This service to others is very rewarding. Patients and their families appreciate the gift of your time. Please make a difference during a difficult time in someone’s life by providing companionship and comfort for the patient and relief for their caregivers\, for as little as four hours per month.We have different types of Volunteers opportunities\, that each offer a different type of support to Hospice:Patient VolunteersRelieve primary care givers\, so that they may take a breakimportant asset as a listener\, someone to talk and reminisce with\, and to providecompanionship and support to patients and their familiesAssist with light household tasksInform team members of any concernsPrepare appropriate reports for each visit/contactMaintain absolute confidentialityCould pickup prescriptions or groceries if neededSome examples of support that Patient Volunteers do is having conversation with patient and/or caregiver\, reading\, puzzles\, bedside art or music\, life review projects\, performing light chores\, sitting with the Patient while Caregiver runs errands\, or running errands for the Patient and/or Caregiver.Bereavement Volunteer provides support to grieving families through visits\, phone calls\, mailings\, and special bereavement community events.Prepare appropriate reports for each visit/contactMaintain absolute confidentialityOffice VolunteersAdministrative tasks such as filing\, copying\, & phone supportMiscellaneous tasks\, mailings\, putting together patient information packetsEvent Volunteers.Help with fundraising even\n\nDetails: https://findyourtwo.org/opp/?id=28643
