DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Alzheimer's Association\, Hudson Valley Chapter\n\nWe need you! Do you want to make a difference in the community? Do you enjoy speaking to groups and increasing awareness for a great cause? Alzheimer’s disease is a growing public health epidemic as the population ages\, with more than 40\,000 people in the Hudson Valley alone. Age is the number one risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. The disease is still shrouded in stigma and fear\, and people do not seek information\, talk to their doctors or get help when they first notice cognitive changes. However\, together we can change that!By becoming a community educator\, you can raise awareness for the Association\, educate the community about the disease\, and help break the stigma. We need people to help us educate the public about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia and connect them to us for care and support.
