DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Gentiva Hospice Petersburg\n\nThe Friendly Visitor Volunteer provides socialization and companionship to patients\, and often their families\, who are dealing with a terminal illness and end-of-life issues. This volunteer is a comforting presence providing additional support\, primarily in person\, where the patient resides\, be it a skilled nursing facility\, assisted living facility or a private residence. We have a 50-mile service area\, so visits would be set up convenient to you whether in Petersburg\, Hopewell\, Colonial Heights\, Emporia\, Franklin\, Courtland\, and surrounding areas.
