DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Family Service Association\n\nHere's a wonderful opportunity to help out in your very own community! Family Service Association (FSA) provides a safe\, welcoming space seniors to socialize and connect through our congregate meal programs. FSA also provides meals via our home delivery program\, ensuring our homebound seniors still receive nutritious meals.Volunteers assist FSA staff with meal preparation and portioning food. Use protective barriers including gloves\, apron and proper hair covering. Adhere to all food safety guidelines. Assist with wrapping\, date-labeling\, storing and rotating food items. Perform general cleaning of counters and equipment in the kitchen area. Assist with receiving\, storage and inventory of food and supplies.*All volunteers complete a background check and have or obtain a Food Handler’s card within 2 weeks (through FSA).Helpful Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
