DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Know Your Lemons Foundation\n\nHelp a Child Feel Safe\, Seen\, and Supported\, One Morning a Week!\nThe Nurture Place is looking for warm\, reliable volunteers to participate in our 6 - week School Nurture Groups at local elementary schools in West Orange County. These weekly\, school-based groups help children build social and emotional skills through play\, connection\, and hands-on activities. Rooted in TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention)\, they give kids a safe space to practice emotional regulation\, body awareness\, and respectful communication\, the foundational skills that help them thrive in school and in life.\nAs a volunteer\, you'll:\nHelp facilitate fun\, structured group activities alongside our team\nBuild trusting relationships with children through play and encouragement\nCreate a calm\, welcoming environment where every child feels they belong\nBe a consistent\, caring presence kids can count on\nYou don't need a background in mental health\, just patience\, warmth\, and a heart for kids. We provide training and support so you'll feel confident and prepared. If you love working with children and want to make a real\, lasting difference right in your own community\, this is your place.\nThe Details\nWho we serve: Elementary-aged children\, grades K–3\nLocation: Local elementary schools in West Orange County\nTime commitment: 1–2 hours per week for 6 weeks (See note below)\, weekday mornings\nDates: September–October (specific start date and time to be confirmed)\nVolunteers needed: 5–20\nRequirements:Level 2 background check (required for volunteers working with children in schools)\nCompletion of volunteer training\nMature volunteers ages 16 and up\nA Note on Commitment 💛\nConsistency is at the heart of this work.
