DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Know Your Lemons Foundation\n\nHelp Us Serve Families in Our Community!\nNew Salem Missionary Baptist Church is seeking caring and dependable volunteers to assist with our community food distribution efforts. Our goal is to help individuals and families experiencing food insecurity by providing groceries and other essential resources in a welcoming\, respectful\, and organized environment.\nVolunteer activities may include:\nSorting and organizing donated food and supplies\nPacking grocery bags and food boxes\nSetting up tables and distribution stations\nGreeting and checking in participants\nDistributing food and other resources\nLoading groceries into participants' vehicles\nRestocking distribution areas\nAssisting senior adults and individuals who may need additional help\nHelping with setup and cleanup\nNo previous experience is required. Instructions will be provided when volunteers arrive.\nVolunteers should be dependable\, respectful\, willing to work as part of a team\, and committed to treating every individual and family we serve with dignity.\nSome assignments may require standing\, walking\, bending\, or lifting boxes. Light-duty opportunities may also be available for volunteers who are unable to lift.\nStudents and Community Service: Students seeking community service hours are welcome to participate.
