We create opportunities for neighbors of all backgrounds to connect\, learn from one another\, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our community.\nVolunteer Position Description and Purpose:\nSupport Culture Encounters’ monthly Eat. Talk. Connect. dinners\, a community dinner series centered around food\, conversation\, and cultural connection. Volunteers help our team create a welcoming experience for guests while assisting with setup\, event support\, cleanup\, and breakdown. We need volunteers to help create a more efficient set up and take down process.\nVolunteer Duties & Responsibilities:\nVolunteer assignments may include:\nSetting up tables\, chairs\, decor\, sign in table\, gift table\, and other event materials\nMoving materials into the facility for setup and assisting with set up\nAssisting with guest sign-in\nProviding general event support as needed\nCleaning up and breaking down the event space\nCleaning of serving items after or before the dinner\nMoving materials back to the Culture Encounters office space and the kitchen\nAssignments may change throughout the evening based on event needs.\nQualifications\, Skills\, & Requirements:\nNo prior experience is required. Volunteers should be dependable\, flexible\, comfortable working as part of a team\, and willing to assist with different types of tasks.\nPlease come dressed in business-casual or dressy-casual attire\, such as slacks with a polo or button-up shirt or an appropriate dressy-casual outfit.
