Our vision is to make this community grocery store a vibrant space that brings neighbors together and provides a convenient location for healthy food in a food desert neighborhood. Our store offers a free produce section\, affordable to-go meals\, and food education as part of our mission to support a strong community\, increase food security\, invest in local people and neighborhoods\, encourage healthy living\, and express care for sustainably-grown food.As a nonprofit grocery store\, we are always looking for volunteers to help support this vital neighborhood resource. Volunteer tasks include helping customers\, stocking and organizing shelves\, preparing and serving food\, and unloading delivery trucks.Key Tasks and ActivitiesOperating the cash register and helping shoppersPreparing and serving lunch from our lunch counterStocking and organizing shelvesRequirements: Must be 16 years of age or olderTime Commitment: Corner Store hours of operation are 9am-7pm Monday-Saturday.
