Champions for Wildlife is looking for friendly volunteers to help with hands-on wildlife education programs in Henderson and Polk Counties\, North Carolina. No teaching\, art\, or wildlife experience is required.\nOur programs bring wildlife learning to life for children through simple\, hands-on activities. Volunteers help students explore real wildlife items like feathers\, bones\, nests\, and tracks\, support art and creative projects\, join nature-based activities\, and help make sure each child has a positive\, engaging experience.\nWhat volunteers do:\n- Help students explore wildlife biofacts (feathers\, bones\, tracks\, etc.)\n- Assist with simple art and creative projects\n- Support nature walks and outdoor learning\n- Help set up materials and keep activities running smoothly\n- Be a friendly\, encouraging presence for kids\nFlexible volunteering! Some people help regularly\, others just a few times a year. You choose what works for your schedule.\nNo special background is needed. Our staff leads every program and provides all training and support. We’re simply looking for dependable\, kind people who enjoy working with children and care about wildlife\, nature\, and creative expression through art.\nThis is also a great way to meet others in your community who share your interests and want to make a difference.\nWhether you’re helping a child discover a hawk feather for the first time or cheering them on as they create wildlife art\, you’ll be part of experiences that stay with them long after the program ends.\nExplore.
