This role offers a calm\, caring environment to help cats recover\, socialize\, and prepare for permanent adoption.Key Responsibilities:Provide daily care including feeding\, grooming\, playtime and litter box maintenanceSocialize cats to build trust and reduce fear or anxiety (where applicable)Monitor health and behavior\; report any concerns promptlyAdminister medications or special diets as needed (with training and support)Transport cats to veterinary appointments or adoption events\, as neededTake photos periodically and write bios to help promote the cat(s) for adoptionCommunicate regularly with the Director of Foster/Adoptions for updates or supportQualifications:MUST BE A RESIDENT OF ROCHESTER OR SURROUNDING AREA*Experience with or willingness to learn about feline care and behaviorAbility to provide safe\, indoor space to house foster cats separate from other animals if neededAbility to handle shy\, scared catsPatience\, compassion\, and commitment to animal welfareReliable transportation and basic communication skillsTime Commitment:Varies depending on the cat-can range from 2 weeks to several months.
