DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Women's Center of Montgomery County-Wyncote\n\nWomen’s Center of Montgomery County (WCMC) Volunteer Counselors/Advocates empower domestic violence survivors to explore options\, rights and remedies to transition toward safety and stability. Volunteers provide supportive listening\, information on legal options\, advocacy\, and resource information.Counselor/Advocates complete a state-mandated 45-hour training provided by the WCMC\, currently offered on a virtual platform\, prior to working with survivors\, and receive ongoing training and support from WCMC staff.Current opportunities include:After-hours and evening hotline coverage including evenings\, holidays\, and weekendsOther volunteer opportunities include community education and outreach projects.
