DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Samaritan\n\nMilitary Veterans\, Spring's a great time to try something new. Veterans\, Only You Understand. You are needed to visit your fellow Veterans!Visit Samaritan's veteran hospice patients and families in their homes or in long-term care facilities in your local community throughout Burlington\, Camden\, Gloucester\, Mercer\, & Atlantic Counties. Support our patients and their family through companionship\, sharing military experiences\, sharing stories\, attending medal ceremonies\, performing life review\, reading\, playing cards and games\, acting as a friend or neighbor. Volunteers visit once a week for 2-4 hours and do not provide any hands-on care. Must be at least 18 years old. No experience or healthcare background needed. Training is provided. We ask that all volunteers bring the following qualities to their work at Samaritan: good communication and listening skills\, a nonjudgmental attitude\, reliability\, flexibility\, and compassion.\nPlease note: All who have experienced the loss of a significant family member or friend must wait 3 months from date of loss to begin the volunteer process.\nQualifications/Requirements:\n- Minimum Age: 18.\n- One-year commitment.\n- Volunteer Orientation and Training.\n- Some medical requirements\nThank you for considering spending your valuable time with Samaritan and we look forward to hearing from you!\n\nDetails: https://findyourtwo.org/opp/?id=64430
