Present astronomy programs in our Digital Planetarium\, operate and monitor computer and projection equipment\, and manage crowds and physical space.Duties:Usher guests into the PlanetariumIntroduce and present live planetarium shows to audiencesEngage guests in a variety of astronomical based topicsOperate Digital PlanetariumRequired Knowledge/Skills:Public speaking\, knowledge/interest in astronomy and night sky\, comfortable learning digital planetarium software and technology\, and a keen eye for detail are all necessary skills.Comfort & familiarity operating a computerAbility to speak to and deal with public in courteous and friendly mannerOutgoing\; at ease with people of all agesPrior knowledge of astronomy helpful\, but willingness to learn is acceptable substitute Physical Requirements:Comfortable working in low lightingAbility to present a 30-minute live presentation while operating the digital planetarium software Training: Will be provided by Planetarium staff. Schedule: Shifts are available on Fridays (12-3:30pm)\, Saturdays (12-4:30pm)\, or Sundays (12-4:30pm).
