DESCRIPTION:Hosted by QPL - GCA\n\nPROJECT DESCRIPTION:\nHunters Point Library is seeking volunteers to assist with Discovery Day which will be held Saturday\, September 26th. This is an all-day event celebrating science with a special focus on the environment. As part of the festivities\, we will be having a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children and adults. Volunteers will help staff run craft activities (DIY stickers\, DIY buttons\, community art project)\, help monitor programs (magic show and exercise for children)\, and answer basic directional questions.\nMINIMUM SKILLS:\n18 or older\nAble to listen to instructions and follow directions\nFriendly and outgoing\nComfortable interacting with the public\, referring visitors to staff as needed\nWilling and able to stand outside for the duration of the volunteer shift\nVolunteers must be able to available to stay for the full length of time of their volunteer shift\nSIGN-UP DEADLINE\nInterested volunteers must register no later than Wednesday\, September 23rd.\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nThis is an in-person opportunity.
