DESCRIPTION:Hosted by AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS\n\nWhen there are major disasters\, the American Red Cross works with local and event based disaster volunteers. This position supports that work through recruiting\, intake\, placement\, and scheduling of these volunteers.Key Responsibilities:Implement recruitment strategies and tactics to recruit D-EBVs\, non-disaster LCVs and new organizations to fill open shifts and meet DRO needsFill shifts on DRO shift tool by scheduling D-EBVs and non-disaster LCVsSupport D-EBV engagement at work sites by managing the distribution and return of rosters\, and working with the EBV Engagement Liaison (DRO) to ensure D-EBVs are onboarded and thanked at the end of their shift.Maintain accurate information on the DRO Shift Tool by posting D-EBV shifts as staff requests are received\, canceling shifts as needed\, and maintaining shift attendance recordsSupport the setup and operation of a Volunteer Intake CenterSupport volunteer screening and/or scheduling in a Volunteer Intake CenterTime Commitment:Work determined by the scale of the relief operation\; a minimum requirement of 8-12 hours per day during the disaster relief operation for multiple\, consecutive days. Beyond Regional responses: 12 hour days for extended periods depending on distance.
