Volunteer Drivers and More!!

Capitol Hill Village is a nonprofit that was established in 2007 to serve older adults in Capitol Hill and surrounding DC neighborhoods. Today we serve well over 500 older adults, who we connect to volunteer help, social activities, educational programs, transportation, and more. We are currently in need of volunteer drivers to assist older adults in getting to medical appointments, grocery stores, community events, and more!
We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about helping older adults, who are reliable, patient, and good communicators. This volunteer opportunity goes beyond providing transportation and is an opportunity to form a meaningful connection with an older adult in your community. Volunteer opportunities are flexible and scheduled based on your availability.
If you do not wish to drive, we are also looking for volunteers to accompany seniors on public transportation or in rideshares. We also have many other volunteer opportunities; please indicate all of your interests on the volunteer application: https://capitolhillvillage.org/volunteer-application/ PLEASE NOTE: All prospective volunteer drivers must have up-to-date flu and COVID vaccines and must complete a background check and motor vehicle record check (paid for by Capitol Hill Village).
