Food Pantry Volunteers
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
South County Outreach provides critical support to people during times of financial hardship, this includes offering a dignified shopping experience in our food pantries, utilities and rental support, and educational guidance to take steps toward stability.
Our Food Program provides families with the nourishing ingredients and staples — like milk, butter, eggs, protein, and fresh produce — needed to make full meals, lunches, and snacks. When clients visit our Food Market, they control the cart and what goes in it, just like in our local grocery store.
Responsibilities:
Food Pantry Volunteers assist clients shopping, stock the pantry shelves, bag groceries, and keep the pantry clean and organized.
Time Commitment: We are looking for weekly, ongoing volunteers that can commit to one recurring shift each week (3 - 4 hours). We ask you to communicate when you’re unable to come in.
Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 12pm, 10am - 2pm, or 12pm - 3:30pm and Friday 8:30am – 12pm.
Requirements: Closed-toe, flat shoes and recommend comfortable clothing. Must be comfortable directly engaging with clients after training and position requires constant walking and standing.
Minimum age: 13.
