Learn&PlayGroup Weekly Volunteer

The Center for Alexandria's Children needs volunteers for our Learn & PlayGroup™ Program!
Our PlayGroups are led by professional facilitators, but extra hands are needed to assist with activities, snacks, and to simply join in the fun! Volunteers will assist with playgroups that are held on weekday mornings throughout the City of Alexandria. Our Learn&PlayGroups are for children 0-5 years old and children attend with a caregiver. They are a great way for caregivers and children to connect with each other and gain access to community resources, programs, and opportunities. Help make a difference in a child's life!
** Learn&PlayGroups™ follow the Alexandria City Public Schools calendar. PlayGroups start after Labor Day and will finish during the second week of June.
** Volunteers must be 18 years or older and must successfully complete background and reference checks.
** Volunteers are asked to commit to one session a week (10:00am-12:30pm) until the second week of June. We are specifically looking to fill our volunteer slots for different locations on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you speak another language, that is a plus, but not necessary -- our families speak Dari, Arabic, Spanish, and many other languages.
