Mayor's Office Resource Development & Partnership VISTA
♡ SaveAbout this opportunity
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County's Mayor's Office seeks to strengthen its capacity to address poverty and economic insecurity among low-income residents through its economic mobility initiative. Sustaining these efforts requires reliable funding, cross-sector partnerships, and resources that expand access to education, employment opportunities, and financial stability.
The Resource Development & Partnerships VISTA will build organizational capacity by developing sustainable funding and partnership systems. The member will research eligible nonfederal funding opportunities, create a funding prospect database and calendar, and develop a resource development plan aligned with program priorities. The VISTA will prepare reusable proposal narratives, supporting research, budget templates, and partnership materials for staff use.
The member will also identify potential philanthropic, employer, educational, healthcare, and community partners and develop tools to support outreach, contribution tracking, and relationship management. Additional deliverables will include procedures for documenting partner commitments and in-kind contributions, funder reporting and stewardship tools, and a resource development manual.
These systems will help the Mayor's Office diversify funding, strengthen partnerships, and sustain economic mobility initiatives beyond the VISTA's service term. By building lasting organizational infrastructure, the member will support efforts to reduce economic barriers and improve financial stability for low-income Wyandotte County residents.
