Community Outreach Event - Intake & Event Assistants Needed

Join Village Family Community Resource Center as a Community Outreach Intake & Event Assistant and help us provide an organized, welcoming and dignified experience for the families we serve.
Volunteers will primarily assist with guest greeting, client check-in, intake and registration during Village Family community outreach events and distributions. Duties may include verifying basic household information, assisting new families with registration, entering or updating information in our registration system, answering basic questions, directing families to appropriate service or distribution areas, helping manage lines and guest flow, and assisting with other event duties as needed.
Volunteers assigned to registration may be asked to use their personal smartphone to access our web-based registration system. Please arrive with your phone fully charged and available for use. Training and guidance will be provided, and no previous intake experience is required.
This position is ideal for volunteers who are friendly, patient, respectful, organized and comfortable interacting with a diverse community. Because our events can serve hundreds of families, volunteers should also be able to remain professional and welcoming while working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Client privacy and confidentiality are extremely important. Volunteers must follow Village Family staff instructions and established intake procedures at all times.
