Are you passionate about helping others? Change someone’s life by volunteering once a week and gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference.We are currently looking for volunteers to service our patients in Merced, Atwater, and surounding areas.As a Merced Hospice volunteer you will be a key part of hospice care by providing companionship and socialization to our patients and support to their families.Hospice volunteers DO NOT provide any medical or personal hygiene services.Some examples of services a hospice volunteer can provide are:Companionship.Socialization.Being a comforting and supportive presence.Do activities such as reading to patients, playing games, or watch movies/TVProvide caregiver relief.If there is a different way you would like to volunteer that is not listed, reach out to us. Everyone has a passion. If we can support that passion while providing a service to our patients, it all leads to a successful outcome.Volunteer service is typically once a week for 1 to 3 hours. The days of the week and times are flexible, and we will work with your availability and schedule.
