Do you want to help seniors overcome technological barriers? Volunteer to lead technology literacy sessions! Class day and time flexible based on your availbility, 1 hour a week, Tuesday or Thursday from 11 AM to 3 PM.Volunteer activites will vary each session and are based on resident needs and interests. Activities could include demonstrating how to connect to WiFi, fill out forms, send text messages and emails, search on the internet and more.Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.About SAHA: Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is committed to providing quality, service-enriched, affordable housing in the bay area. About Satellite Affordable Housing Associates
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
