Tutor for Students in East Palo Alto - Virtual and In-Person Opportunities

BE A TUTOR in KidSmart, Bayshore Christian Ministries’ academic program from Monday-Thursday, 3:30-6:00, for students in grades 1-5 in East Palo Alto and Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park. Timing and frequency of volunteering are flexible; you and BCM can make it work to fit your schedule. Virtual and in-person opportunities both available.
KidSmart is an after-school tutoring program that supports academic and social development of children in our community. The program immerses kids in a caring and safe environment, in which they can reach their full potential. When children are behind in school, they quickly learn the mindset of "I can’t." "I can’t do math." "I can’t read." For these children to grow into leaders in their families and communities, they need to believe they can. "I can do math." "I can make a difference." Through KidSmart, BCM works to show youth they can, by providing a supportive environment and highly-relational tutoring.
