Redwood City Free Clinic - Food Pharmacy Driver

Samaritan House runs two highly respected free clinics in Redwood City and San Mateo that provide a medical and dental home to low income and uninsured individuals residing in San Mateo county. The clinics offer comprehensive, integrated services, including primary and specialty medical, dental, vision, and mental health care. Volunteers are a vital part of this service.Our Redwood City Free Clinic is seeking ongoing weekly support on Wednesdays between 11:00am to 2:00pm from a volunteer able to assist with our Food Pharmacy food delivery. A delivery route consists of 4-6 stops. Each household delivery typically includes: 2 produce boxes, 1 bag dry goods, milk, eggs, chicken.An SUV or truck works best for easily loading/unloading the food and to take everything for one route at the same time. There are some second floor apartments so food needs to be carried up stairs.We are ideally seeking 2 people in total for this role, so that the work is shared.Please reach out with interest or any questions.1 shift available:Drivers can pick up food between 11:45am and 1:00pm on Wednesdays. Projected total time, from loading food to delivering it, is 45 to 75 minutes.: 11:45 to 14:00 PST
