Have you always longed to dress in your finest Victorian fashion, live and work on the prairie, play school marm and more? If the answer is yes, then you're the person we've been looking for. In costume, our Docents share the history of the Conejo Valley with museum visitors, young, old and in-between. Docents must be 18 or older with transportation. Our Junior Docent program is available for those under 18.Training is provided; no prior knowledge of Conejo Valley is required. About CONEJO VALLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
We are a Historical Museum complex of over 5 acres with 7 buildings including a reconstruction of an 1876 Stagecoach Hotel, an 1889 schoolhouse, plus replicas of a carriage house, working blacksmith shop, a pioneer home, a Spanish adobe and a Chumash Aps. We have nature trails and a heritage rose garden on our complex property. Our exhibits are one of a kind, and our Docents have fun working with our visitors. We host special events throughout the year.
