About this opportunity

Hugh OBrian Youth Leadership is a youth leadership development organization that hosts an annual leadership seminar for rising high school juniors. All high schools in the country are invited to nominate students to attend HOBY. Throughout the year, the planning committee meets on a bi-weekly to weekly basis to develop the curriculum, agenda, activities, and logistics of the seminar.
HOBY Missouri is looking for volunteers that are interested in volunteering throughout the year to be a part of the planning committee to continue the magic of HOBY MO for 2027 and beyond.
The Director of Ambassador Relations is responsible for fielding student and parent questions leading up to the seminar, as well as handling any student special circumstances that may arise during the seminar.
This position is expected to attend the yearly HOBY MO seminar in June to support ambassador needs throughout the weekend. We are looking for a Director of Ambassador relations beginning to support the June 2027 seminar, but the hope is that if there are any currently interested parties they could attend the 2026 Seminar in order to gain experience with the HOBY methods.
The HOBY MO Seminar this year is June 4-7th at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Outside of the seminar, the planning team meets virtually every other week July-January (barring holidays), and then weekly February- June in preparation for the seminar.

Minimum age: 21.
