Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the Foundation towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies and making sure the Concordia Foundation has adequate resources to advance its mission. Board members also play very significant roles by providing guidance contributing to the Foundation’s culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, and financial sustainability. Board members serve as ambassadors and advocates. Must be located in Western New York to fulfill the requirements. Concordia Foundation is 100% volunteer, and its misisn is the support of WNY's only all volunteer-run cemetery and one of the oldest in Buffalo, Historic Concordia Cemetery. Concordia Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2011 to support and assist historic Concordia Cemetery in preserving the heritage of the Cemetery, its grounds, and buildings through promotion, community outreach, education, and events.
