Brief Organizational Description:
Mission: Fueling Richmond's creative spirit by uplifting local artists and ensuring access to the arts for all.
As an award-winning, community-motivated visual and performing art center, Gallery5 facilitates arts experiences in partnership with cultural, educational, environmental and social organizations to encourage a more diverse, inclusive, and inspired region of art supporters.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Gallery5 is an artist-run 501c3 non-profit music venue, art gallery, and historic building. Volunteers are an important and highly valued part of our community. We always welcome support and ideas from creative, self-motivated people.
Gallery5 offers volunteers the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of operations:
Exhibition installation, art handling
Manning donation and merch booths at First Fridays
Supporting paid staff with space organization and cleanliness efforts
Supporing out staff Marketing Manager with one-off marketing projects
Please note volunteers at Gallery5 are unpaid, however, we offer volunteers free admittance to shows and events.
