About this opportunity

Brief Organizational Description:
Little Hands Virginia serves as Central Virginia's diaper bank--supplying basic health and safety essentials for children 0-3 years old. Little Hands send out nearly 100,000 diapers monthly into the community and serves, on average, 10,000 children per year.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Fill a diaper bag with essentials for a new parent! Most of the families we serve have nothing for their newborn baby. By stuffing and donating a diaper bag, we are able to provide families with the essentials they need--in one beautiful bundle--when delivering their order. This is an *at home* opportunity that can be done solo, or as a group.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
The volunteer/group will be collecting items to prepare a fully stuffed diaper bag for the families we serve. A "full" diaper bag consists of the following items: diaper bag, wipes (1 package), diaper cream, baby soap, baby lotion, bottles (2), pacifiers (2), hooded towel, and washcloths (2). Please note that all items should be full-sized (i.e. not travel size) and new. We do not require any specific brand. This is a really fun opportunity to do as a group!
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
None
Time Commitment:
Time taken to complete this volunteer opportunity is totally up to the volunteer participating. If a volunteer would like to stuff one bag or 20, that is up to them!
