Nauticus Guest Ambassador (Admissions)- Ongoing

Nauticus does not accept court ordered volunteers.
The Nauticus Guest Ambassador volunteer helps guests get the most out of their visit to Nauticus!
Duties include providing guests with the ultimate experience by:
* Assist with Guest Admissions areas and scanning tickets.
*Greeting and assisting guests in a friendly manner with wayfinding and answering questions.
* Assisting with group arrivals.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be able to stand and talk in what can sometimes be a noisy environment for long periods of time.
• Perform tasks that require manual dexterity (opening doors, retrieving wheelchairs).
• Must be able to interact with a variety of guests in a positive manner.
• Shifts flexible to meet your schedule; minimum- once a month, 4-8 hours
• Schedule: anyday, Sunday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Minimum age 14 years old
Orientation/Training:
All volunteers must complete a Nauticus New Volunteer Orientation (details providing once accepted into the program). Once this is complete, your first shift will include a tour of our program areas, an introduction to staff and programs and training on programs. If you are 18 or above, you must successfully pass a background check with the City of Norfolk (at no cost to you).

Minimum age: 14.
