Hospice Volunteers Needed (Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin & Perry Counties)

We are actively seeking volunteers in the Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Office and administrative tasks.
Friendly visits.
Writing letters.
Reading to patients.
Providing a listening presence.
Supporting our veterans.
Offering companionship or sitting vigil.
Providing caregiver relief.
Offering emotional and spiritual support.
Assisting with grief support groups.
Participating in health fairs and community education.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Submit documentation of patient/family interactions or any volunteer activities promptly to the Volunteer Coordinator. Participate in in-service programs to stay informed about current information relevant to volunteering. Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English. Uphold and embody the hospice philosophy, offering support to dying patients and their families using skills acquired through volunteer orientation. Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient/family interactions and information. Reliably follow through with patient care assignments in a dependable manner.
