Family Movie Night

Brief Organizational Description:
Better2gether supports and equips families of children with medical complexity with tools to care for their child and creates community among like families.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Better2gether is hosting a Family "Movie Night Under the Stars" event for our families. This will include medically complex children and their siblings/parents. Our goal with this event is to make this experience as close as possible to a real-life movie experience as oftentimes the children we serve are not able to attend the movies for various reasons. We will be holding the event outdoors and will move the event indoors if necessary, due to weather.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
We have several volunteer positions available listed below:
Set-up: ADULT (Assist with set-up prior to event starting)
Ticket Taker and Concession Tickets: Ages 16 & OLDER (In charge of taking the family tickets for entry into the movie and explaining how concessions work, handing out of conccession tickets)
Photo Booth: ADULT (Person in charge of taking pictures)
Popcorn Machine: ADULT (Assist with making and serving popcorn)
Concessions: ADULT (Assist with taking tickets for concession items and handing them out)
Activity Volunteers/Buddies: AGES 16 & OLDER (Assisting with family crafts/Interact with the children if they need a break, before, during, or after the movie)
Clean Up: AGES 16 & OLDER (Assist with cleaning up after the event)
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Volunteers must be comfortable with interacting with children and their families. Volunteers are required to engage families and play with the children and should not be on their cell phones. No pictures will be allowed to be taken on personal phones unless you are running the phot
