Brief Organizational Description:
Girls For A Change focuses on the development of self identifying Black girls as leaders and change makers across the Greater Richmond Metro Area.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Help us get our learning garden fall ready! We would like volunteers to join us at Girls For A Change to help us with upkeep of our garden. We need your help tending to our beautiful flowers, wonderful smelling lavender, and various fruits and vegetables, in our own backyard! Do you have a green thumb or just like helping keeping the earth beautiful? Come join us for a community day of gardening.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Tasks will change and vary from support needed. This can go from watering, weeding, planting, and harvesting things in our garden. We may also need support building different items in the garden like compost bins.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Should be in good physical health and be able to stand and be outside for the duration of the event.
Time Commitment:
Please plan to stay for the entire event
Other Information (if applicable):
Bring your own water bottle
Bring gardening gloves
Please be sure to dress in attire that is comfortable and that you do not mind getting dirty!
Minimum age: 15.
