Farm Field Trip Assistant

Currently seeking out-going and fun-loving Field Trip Volunteers to assist with our 2025 Fall field trips -Dates: - New volunteer training: Either Wed, Thurs, or Friday. Sep. 3 to 5, 9a-1p- Volunteer Season: Week of Sep. 8 to week of Dec. 1.Days/Times: Choose 1 day per week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, or Fridays, 9a-1p.Event Overview: In the fall and spring, Baltimore City Schools K-5th grade students come to our 33-acre outdoor learning laboratory to engage in hands-on, real-world farm-based and culinary experiences. We run additional programs for students of all ages from schools for students with special needs.Volunteer Roles: As a volunteer, you'll help with field trip set-up and clean up, assist our educators in teaching experiential lessons with our plants and animals and on our trails, engage with the students, have fun answering student questions and guiding conversations with them during lunch, and help prep food in our commercial kitchen for student tastings.Volunteers must commit 1 day per week over a minimum of 2 months to receive training and join our student programs.
