Virtual or In-Office Hospice Phone Volunteers Needed

A simple phone call can bring peace of mind and companionship. Compassus Hospice is seeking volunteers to make weekly check-in calls to patients and caregivers. These calls may include confirming supply needs before the weekend or simply offering a friendly voice to ease loneliness and anxiety. Some patients may be on service for months or even years, and your consistent presence can make a lasting difference.Calls may be made from your home or at the Compassus office in Muncie. Volunteers must live in one of the following Indiana counties served by the Muncie branch: Delaware, Madison, Henry, Wayne, Randolph, Jay, Blackford, or Grant. Good listening and communication skills are essential, as well as maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
